Job Readiness Training & Interview Preparation
A participant who is receiving this service can expect to successfully interview with employers by developing answers to commonly asked interview questions, learning interview attire and etiquette. Other topics include, but are not limited to, hygiene, appearance, body language, first impressions, and job exploration.
Supported Employment Job Coaching
Once a participant has received a job position, long-term support may be needed to remain successful. A long-term Employment Specialist can help individuals stay focused on their work, implement or maintain techniques that help a participant remember their tasks, teach new skills, assist with communication, and monitor employer satisfaction.
Job Search Assistance
Participants who are actively looking for a job may need assistance in finding the right job, environment, and people to work with. Job Search Assistance is a service that assists participants in finding and applying for appropriate jobs. An Employment Specialist can assist in setting up interviews, talking to employers, troubleshooting transportation issues, providing support during interviews, determining tasks and schedule needs, and negotiating accommodations.
Short Term Job Supports
Some participants need less help in adjusting to a new position such as navigating the new hire process, on-boarding, negotiating and learning tasks, establishing relationships and patterns of communication, developing natural supports, and requesting appropriate accommodations.
Customized Employment
*Currently only available for private pay.
Customized employment is a service available for participants who need a specialized job to fit specific needs. This often includes “carving” out a job that does not currently exist in an organization and tailoring the tasks to the abilities of the participant. After receiving a position, it is expected that the participant would need long-term job support from an Employment Specialist to maintain job success.

About Tracy
I am so excited that you have decided to take steps in securing employment. I have seen people transform their lives when given the right support and opportunity. People entering the workforce can learn important social skills, develop meaningful relationships, have an increase in self-esteem, learn money management, and overall increase their life satisfaction. I studied Business, Middle School Education (Bachelor’s), and School Counseling (Master’s) at the collegiate level and taught Middle School for 11 years. My classes were full-inclusion general education classes with students who had a wide variety of disabilities (deaf and hard of hearing, Autism, ADD/ADHD, speech, and learning disabilities, etc.). I also have had experience as a Habilitative Interventionist, Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor, Case Manager, Employment Specialist, and Employment Program Coordinator.
Employment Specialist work is a dear passion of mine in which I speak, train, and motivate others. ALES LLC’s company’s mission is that everyone can achieve their employment goals with the support and desire. Developing varying levels of greater independence is possible for everyone.
